ABOUT LAURA

From a young age Laura has displayed her flare for creative art, particularly through painting, drawing but simply, creating. Her love for performing and the stage combined with her love for art, brought her to her passion for makeup. Her dream job has always been an artist.

She was self taught up until beginning her studies in February 2017 and is now a qualified makeup artist with her Certificate 3 in Makeup and Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup Services). Taking her business full time in 2019.

"To think designing and applying makeup on your own face brought endless amounts of creativity, once given the opportunity to perform on a new face, each time, gave another whole meaning to what it was to be a Make Up Artist. Make up is more than just applying product to a face, it's using your paint, tools and techniques to create a piece of art."

"I've learnt to see each and every client I work with as a blank canvas. It is my job to take the features that get placed in front of me and work with them. Enhance the features that defines them, bring out all the beauty that they may never know they had! Show that there is perfection within every imperfection. Ensure that they walk away from me feeling empowered, to not only look their best, but feel their best too!"

She has worked in retail almost from the second she was capable to get a job. With this her confidence grew immensely and brought out her love for socialising and connecting with people of all different personalities, physical features and natures. To her it was more than just selling a product to a customer, but taking as much time as possible with them to analyse every aspect of their life to find a product best suited for their lifestyle.

Combining her product knowledge with her ability to connect with her model she is able to correctly allocate and use products specifically catered to them to ensure the application, appearance and lasting power of the makeup is achieved effortlessly.

Laura holds herself very professionally and handles even the most stressful situations with a very calm and collected attitude. She has attended numerous events on behalf of Priceline Australia as apart of their Sydney Beauty Events Team. Working on events such as the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival in Melbourne, offering makeovers to the attendees as apart of Priceline's Booth, greeting and welcoming the attendees and working backstage on the models. Laura thoroughly enjoys creating online content across her many social platforms, TikTok her 2 instagram accounts and has had the pleasure of working with a range of different brands in the beauty industry such as Maybelline, Lanolips, Bondi Sands, Ardell, Mco Beauty, Crown Brushes, L'Oreal Paris, OralB and more high-end ranges such as Estee Lauder, Benefit, Fenty Beauty, GHD, to name a few. Being quite young, she takes every opportunity as a learning experience and always believes she is forever learning.

 "No course or qualification will leave you with knowing absolutely everything, nor should it ever define how talented someone is. I am always learning, I am always being inspired and taking from those around me."
